I am such a dope! Update (finally)

OK, so Monday TOTALLY Sucked. Not with Owen, though - Ryan got really sick. REALLY sick. Pretty much what Owen had. Owen did wake up with the brown pee. Not good, right? Ryan had been puking ALL morning, but he *had* to go to work because he had missed 4 days the previous week taking care of Owen and he was really far behind. Luckily, he has his own office (no cubes), so he couldn't really pass his germs on to anyone.

I took Owen to daycare and was dreading his reaction - kid hadn't been to baby jail since Thursday, April 5th. We get there and he throws the toys he's playing with onto the floor of the car and is ready to be lifted out. We walk in and he practically runs to his room. I open the door to the room and the teacher picks him up, gives him a huge hug, and puts him down. He starts playing like he never left. Doesn't even wave goodbye, turn around, give me a hug, nothing. Hmph. I should get used to it, I suppose. :)

I give the teacher instructions to keep him hydrated and monitor his pee and let me know what color it is and all that stuff. I go to work, nervous throughout the day.

I call Ryan around 11 a.m. and he sounds like total crap. I'm praying I don't get anything.

Around 5, I call Ryan again and he doesn't sound as bad. Maybe the day is picking up. I go pick up Owen around the same time and he's sitting outside on the swings just swaying back and forth. He gives me this great smile and tells me he's ready to go home. I check the pee log (ha ha ha) and his pee has gone from yellow to clear! YEA!

Soooooo long story (not so) short, Owen's doing much better. Tuesday he woke up with no brown pee (according to Ryan), and the rest of the day it was a normal color. That's my boy! What a good pee-er! :)

Anyway, Ryan's also doing much better. Thanks for keeping up with us and sending us your good wishes.
