My sister's dog, Zani, passed away on Friday morning. She was 16 years old and 3 months. That's 107 in dog years. We loved her dearly and will miss her very much.

They're all in Rome for a SCIENTOLOGY wedding. I know I'm not the first one to ponder this - but isn't it ironic that they're having a huge Scientology wedding in ROME - you know, the country that houses the Vatican country? You know, the Vatican - home of the POPE, head of Catholicism?
Odd.
Yeah. I gotta say the kid is cute, tho.
So yeah. We're throwing a very small party for Owen this weekend - for his first bday and all, right. So we were looking all over for a good cake. The publix by us didn't have ANYTHING good. So then I went to a different publix and they had a bunch, and even had TWO different Gator designs. Two of 'em. But what I was ideally looking for was just a cake with a dog on it, or a cake with a bear. I didn't want any kind of theme, just a frickin' bear or a frickin' dog. Or maybe a frickin' shark with laser beams.
So I ordered the old school Albert cake.
But then I realized that if I get this cake and the Gators lose this weekend, that Owen's bday on Sunday would be rough, just staring at a stupid Gator on that cake. So we went to Publix today and I asked the dude - what if i wanted to change a custom order. He said to just call by 7. I was biting my teeth from the first seconds of this game, so I couldn't wait til 7 - I called during the first quarter and changed the design.
Whew.
Even tho the gators won, it was a freaking close one. I'm not going to honor them until maybe next year. They don't deserve it for freaking causing me heart palpitations throughout these games.
So there.
Hi there my loyal blog readers. All 3 of you. Or maybe 3.5. Just wanted to apologize for being remiss in updating this blog. I have a very good excuse. Verrrrrry good. But I won't share that with you just yet. But it's mostly just work. Work is seriously kicking my behind. Which is supposed to be a good thing, right? Job security, right? Ha.
Anyway, I wanted to change the look of my blog for a few weeks. This layout is temporary and will be updated in a month or so. I just wanted to give a shout out to my holmes, Rydog, and his fave-oh team, The Cards, for winning the World Series. I will say, however, that this layout reminds me of old school Bravos, and those punks will rule the Baseball World once again. Soon, very soon.
In other sports news, keep your fingers crossed that Louisville loses to Rutgers this weekend and that the Gators beat South Carolina. And then next weekend that USF beats Louisville (OK, stop laughing. Really, stop laughing. OK, I mean it, stop) and that the Gators TROMP FSU. :) What are the chances of the Gators running the table the rest of the season? People thought we could do it before, but then we suffered that humilating loss to Auburn. Maybe we were distracted by the high school antics of FIU and UM that weekend. What drama. Anyway, UF has to keep it together. The state of Florida needs at least one team in the top 5 this season. Next year will be UCF's turn. (OK, you can start laughing again.)
OMG OMG OMG! I forgot that Rutgers played TONIGHT. And THEY WON!!!! 28-25. Which means that if the Gators win, and win next weekend as well ... we have a shot to go to the National Championship! OK, I hope I didn't just ruin our chances by typing that. But hells to the yeah. So dammit, they better win and beat Spurrier. I don't care if it is his old stomping grounds. But think of how proud he'd be of the gators if they won his gamecocks. I mean, really.
OK, enough of that. I really need to get to bed now. So good night my fair friends. Comment if you want. It'll be nice to know you still care! Ha!
